Senior center offers programs
Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown, will offer the following dances 7-10 p.m. during April in the Trexler Room.
The per person fee includes refreshments.

They will also be offering the following dance 1-3 p.m. in the Trexler Room.

·April 15, 22 and 29: Beginner Line Dancing with instructor Peggy Sue Tobias, 12:30 p.m.
·April 11, 18 and 25: Advance Line Dancing led by instructor Cathy Seidel, 1 p.m.
The following creative arts classes will also be offered.
·April 10, 15, 17, 22, 24 and 29: Arts and Crafts led by Trisha Baker, 9-11 a.m.
·April 10, 12, 17, 19, 24 and 26: Suzanne Bauder’s Art for Everyone, noon.
Help is available. New and advance students are welcome.
·April 11, 18 and 25: Knit and Chat group, 9 a.m.
Stop in, work on your own projects, knit, crochet or embroider.
·April 11, 18 and 25: Junk Journaling and Book Making led by instructor Jean Burd, 10 a.m.
Bring glue sticks, magazines, scissors and scrapbooking supplies, if you have them. No experience needed.
·April 15, 22 and 29: Drawing led by instructor Judy Peters, 9:30 a.m.
Learn how to draw with pencils in this introductory class to composition, outlining and shading.
·April 16, 23 and 30: Instructor Bonny Batman’s ceramics, 9 a.m.

·April 12, 19 and 26: Tai Chi led by instructor Bob Donnelly (Pai Ma Shen), 10:30 a.m.
A holistic exercise that helps reduce stress and promote physical well-being.
·April 12, 15, 19, 22, 26 and 29: Fit Circuit with instructor Sara Mercer, 12:30 p.m.
This low impact circuit style class, featuring upbeat choreography mixed with strength training, is a great overall cardio workout.
·April 15, 22 and 29: Barre led by instructor Michele Fisher, 10:15 a.m.
A low impact toning class that blends the principles of Pilates, yoga, strength training and ballet to activate your entire body.
·April 10, 15, 17, 22, 24 and 29: Zumba with instructor Grace Conti, 9:30 a.m.
·April 11, 16, 18, 23, 25 and 30: Zumba led by instructor Ed Nickles, 9 a.m. Dancers and nondancers will enjoy these Latin inspired dance fitness classes, which are designed for seniors.
·April 11, 18 and 25: Mat Pilates led by instructor Michele Fisher, 10:30 a.m.
A strengthening and lengthening form of exercise that focuses on the core (abdomen and lower back) muscles.
·April 16, 23 and 30: Tai Chi Qigong with instructor Alice Perry, 2:10 p.m.
Very beginner friendly, meditative and peaceful.
