Katherine Ann Grey, 59, of Catasauqua, died March 29, 2024. She was the companion of John Zartler for more than 30 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. “Duke” and Leona (Schwindenhammer) Grey.

She graduated from Catasauqua High School in 1982.

Immediately after graduation, she began working as a legal secretary for attorney Jeffrey Matzkin until his retirement in 2016. She then began work as a library assistant at the Public Library of Catasauqua, becoming the library’s circulation manager and book buyer.

In addition to her companion, she is survived by a brother, Jim and wife Karaley of Jamestown, N.Y.; two nephews, Kyler Grey and Ryan Pollino; and a close friend, David Hadley.

Services will be private.

Contributions can be made to the library, 302 Bridge St., Catasauqua, 18032, or to an animal rescue center of choice.
