Beatrice “Bea” Snyder, 70, of Bethlehem, died April 2, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Jack C. Snyder.

Born in Key West, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Rudolf and Eleanor (Charnley) Wylk.

She was a children’s services case manager for the Catholic Charities of Allentown for 18 years, retiring in 2011.

She was a longtime parishioner and choir member of Sts. Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She and her husband were foster parents for many children throughout the years.

She volunteered her time at the former East Allen Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps as a first responder, EMT and as past president for years. She also volunteered at Musikfest and Celtic Classic in Bethlehem.

She is survived by a son, Michael and wife Stephanie of Saylorsburg; three daughters, Heather M. and spouse Chris Bellis of East Allen, Tara and spouse Jeff Nichol of Hellertown and Jess Allen of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
