“Mamma Mia!” brings romance to the stage with classic Abba hits, 7 p.m. April 12, 13; 2 p.m. April 14, auditorium, Notre Dame High School, 3417 Church Road, Bethlehem Township.
Executive Director for Theatre Caitlin Bach is assisted by Music Director Ben Stefan, Choreographer Erin Griffith and Technical Director Aaron Bach.
Set on a Greek island, a young bride-to-be invites three men from her mother’s past to her wedding without consulting mom. She is determined to find out which one is her father and have him walk her down the aisle.
With music and lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and book by Catherine Johnson, the musical comedy debuted on Broadway in 2001, receiving five Tony Award nominations.
Notable songs include “Dancing Queen,” “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme,” “The Winner Takes It All,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “Waterloo” and “Mamma Mia!”
