First grade at SES wins Penny Wars

The Salisbury Elementary School PTO Penny Wars are over and the winners are first grade in first place and fourth grade in second place. They earned the right to turn Principal Zach Brem and Assistant Principal Brian Muschlitz into human ice cream sundaes.
To say this fundraiser was a success would be an understatement. Funds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase not only a basketball hoop for the back playground but also extra playground goodies. Great job everyone!
Can you believe we are getting ready for spring concerts already? The Salisbury Middle School spring concert will be held 7 p.m. April 18.
The Salisbury twirlers will host a Tournament Indoor Association event including twirling, dance, color guard, jazz, percussion and winds at the high school April 13. The event runs noon to 7:30 p.m. Stop by and check it out.

Salisbury Township curbside branch collection begins April 8. In order to be collected, branches can be no longer than 5 inches in diameter or 5 feet long and should be bundled with twine. Smaller twigs can be placed in an open container. Only five bundles and/or cans are permitted per property. Please have branches on the curb by the evening of April 7.
The Salisbury Township Environmental Advisory Committee is sponsoring a tree planting event and volunteers are needed. Everyone will meet at Lindberg Park 9 a.m. April 13. Some will stay at Lindberg Park and some will disperse to Devonshire Park and Franko Park to beautify our township. If you are interested, contact Michele Lopez at mlopez@salisburylehighpa.gov for more information.
Yard waste drop offs are now open. The Franko site will be open April 4 and 6 and Devonshire will be open April 8, 11 and 13. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
