Joseph J. Groller, 86, of Coplay, died March 27, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Marie R. (Dougherty) Groller for 40 years.
Born in New York, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Switkovitz) Groller.
He was a cost estimator for Fuller Company/FL Smidth for more than 35 years.
He was a councilman for 18 years in the borough of Coplay.
He was a lifelong member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay. He volunteered for his church’s counting group.
He was a member of Coplay Lions Club for more than 40 years, having held various positions. He was a former member of Coplay Community Days committee and was a member of various clubs in Coplay. He was a member of Traveler’s Protective Association for many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Jeanine and husband Keith Davis of Coplay and Melissa of Trexlertown; one granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; a companion, Lydia Lesczyszyn of Macungie; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling times are 9-10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., April 4 at the church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay, 18037.
