John A. “Jack” Griffin Jr., 74, of Northampton, died March 26, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Mary M. (Romanic) Griffin.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Dr. John A. and Emma Ferry Griffin.

He attended Allentown Central Catholic High School but graduated from Northampton High School.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was assigned to the USS Koelsch (DE 1049).

He worked at Fuller Company/FLSmidth for 24 years until continuing his career at Air Products in the specialty gases department.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by three children, John A. III and wife Angel, Courtney Lakics and fiance Casey Chapleski and Michael J. and wife Jenna; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Pat Post and husband Harold and Kathi Roxberry; a brother-in-law, Glenn Kane Sr.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Kathleen, Anne Kane and Maureen; and a brother, Joseph Sr.
