Gloria F. Schoch, 95, died March 25, 2024, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Marvin W. Schoch and the late Paul T. Smith.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Herman M. Derr and the late Rebecca (Evans) Derr-Reichenbach and Clayton Reichenbach.
She worked at Phoenix Clothes for more than 20 years and in the shoe department of the former H. Leh and Company for 12 years.
She was a member of Solomon’s United Church of Christ, Macungie.
She was an officer and life member of New Temple 298 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a charter member and former vice president of the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club and an auxiliary life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 13, Allentown.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Barron of Bethlehem; two grandchildren, Stacy Sommer and husband Timothy of Whitehall and Andrew Barron and fiancee Cynthia of New York, N.Y.; five great-grandchildren, Gregory and Audra Sommer, Braelee and Matthew Barron and Ayden Baez; a sister, Bessie Comp; a niece, Gloria Greenwood; and a cousin, Jack Graver.
