Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., is planning events.

A country western dance is set for 2-5 p.m. April 14. The Joe Kroboth Band will entertain. Wear your favorite western attire.

The Viennese ball will be held 2-5 p.m. April 21. The Emil Schanta Band will entertain. Wear your fancy attire such as tuxedos or suits for men and ballgowns or long skirts for women.

Both events are open to members and guests, and both have a cost.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is holding a baked chicken dinner for pickup 4-5:30 p.m. April 20.

Dinner includes baked chicken with barbecue sauce, baked potato, green beans, applesauce or fruit cup, roll and dessert. Preorders are required.

Freewill donations are gratefully accepted.
