Bath: Bath Area Food Bank to hold distribution April 9 for residents

Bath Area Food Bank will next distribute food April 9, starting around 9:30 a.m., on the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St.

Do not arrive before 9:30 a.m., due to safety reasons.

Bath Borough will be having a business forum 7-9 p.m. April 11 at the municipal building, 121 S. Walnut St. The topic is security and will include a presentation by Pennsylvania State Police.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be holding a game night 6 p.m. April 13. Bring a favorite game, a friend and a snack to share.

During the month of April, Emmanuel’s church will help Bath Area Food Bank by collecting canned soup and paper products. There is an ongoing need for ramen noodles, and the food bank has a special request for canned fruit and boxed macaroni and cheese.

Jell-O or pudding is currently not being accepted.

Donations can be dropped off in the bins in fellowship hall or the upstairs gathering area.

Bath Area Food Bank is always in need of monetary donations, and A-Hart’s gift cards are needed for emergencies. Bring all gift cards to the church office in an envelope marked “food bank.”

Mountain View Wesleyan Church, 1001 Deemer Road, is helping homeless veterans by weaving mats every second and fourth Wednesday 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Preparations for the mat weaving are held 12:30-3:30 p.m. every first and third Wednesday of the month at the church.
