Allen/East Allen townships: Cash bingo set for April 14
St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Seemsville, 8143 Valley View Road, will hold a cash bingo April 14. Doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo starts 1 p.m.

Governor Wolf Historic Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, will host its annual spring tea, set for 2-4 p.m. April 21. The theme is “April showers bring May flowers.”
Guests will celebrate flowers while enjoying tea, pastries and tea sandwiches. Wear a flower in your hair, and bring your tea cup. Learn how to arrange a colonial bouquet, and gather tips and tricks for your flower pots and gardens.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, will hold its next breakfast April 21. It is open to members and their guests.

The Allen Township dog park is closed through the end of April.
With all the rain, frost, freezing and thaw cycles, the area is muddy and slippery. The temporary closure will limit paw and foot traffic to allow proper regeneration of healthy turf grass.

Wildlands Conservancy will hold its 28th annual Lehigh River sojourn June 8-11. This guided paddling trip on the Lehigh River is a family-friendly rafting adventure through the Lehigh Gorge in the Poconos, along with a canoeing or kayaking experience through the metro-wilderness reaches of the river.

Sign up for East Allen Township Parks and Recreation’s summer camp program. Registration continues until June 10, with a maximum participation of 150 children ages 6-12.
Camp is scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Mondays through Fridays from June 17 to Aug. 2. There is a cost, which is discounted for residents.
