Whitehall and Bethlehem Catholic’s track and field teams braved icy temperatures in their first meet of the spring season with the Zephyrs winning both girls and boys meets on March 20 at Whitehall. The boys won 98-39 and the girls won 108-28.

Top performers in individual events were Ava Demjan (W) in the 100 meter hurdles in 19.1, Joseph Nanoah (W) in the 110 hurdles in 20.4, Jaylene Wilson (W) in the 100 meter dash in 13.7, and Justin Hussett (W) in the 100 meter dash in 11.4.

Lauren Arcuiolo (BC) in the 1600 meter run in 6:44.5, Mekhi Britt (BC) in the 1600 meter run in 5:03.5, Grace Tsamutalis (W) in the 400 meter dash in 1:08.7, Brandon Andrews (BC) in the 400 meter dash in 59.1, Llyneida Otanez (W) in the 300 meter hurdles in 58.8, and Aiden Wells (W) in the 300 meter hurdles in 48.7.

Kyla Braun (W) in the 800 meter run in 3:11.9, Michael Bialkowski (W) in the 800 meter run in 2:26.5, M’Balu Fofana (W) in the 200 meter dash in 29.6, Robert Williams (BC) in the 200 meter dash in 23.4, Olivia Tabarani (W) in the 3200 meter run in 16:17.5, and Aiden Borkenhagen (W) in the 3200 meter run in 12:34.9.

Thomas Lloyd (W) in the javelin throw with a distance of 180-04, Maya Williams (W) in high jump with a 4-07.00, Ian Thomas (W) in long jump with a distance of 20-05.00, Daviana Jones (BC) in the javelin throw with a distance of 97-00, Kayden Weaver (W) in shot put with a throw of 41-07.50, Ruth Rivera (W) in shot put with a throw of 24-02.00, Weaver in discus with a throw of 104-03, and Rivera in discus with a throw of 63-05.

Cody Grant (BC) in triple jump with a distance of 31-06.50, Tessa Hopkins (W) in long jump with a distance of 15-08.50, Hopkins in long jump with a distance of 15-08.50, Hopkins in triple jump with a distance of 31-03.50, and Thomas in high jump with a 5-03.00.

In relay events, Whitehall’s Tatu Youh, Giovanni Fragnito, Daniel Tran, and Gabe O’Brien won the boys 4x800 meter relay with a time of 11:55.4. Bethlehem Catholic’s girls (names unavailable) also won the 4x8 relay with a time of 12:48.1.

Tony Bullock, Nathan Huffort, Hussett, and Reese Prebosnyak won the 4x100 meter relay for Whitehall in 46.7.

Becahi won both 4x400 meter relays with Ramiah Rivera, Sarah Gowell, Rio Stoudt, and Marissa Simmons finishing in 4:53.8 for the girls, and Andrews, Britt, Christian Santana, and Williams finishing in 3:54.1 for the boys.
