DUI crash
A 78-year-old male, of Emmaus, was allegedly driving under the influence in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Brookside Road and Sauerkraut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 4:04 p.m. March 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male was traveling northbound when he allegedly made a left turn in front of an oncoming vehicle and the vehicles collided. The male was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment and evaluation. Macungie Ambulance, Lower Macungie Township fire crews and Yocum Towing also responded. Both cars were towed from the crash scene, according to authorities.
DUI
A 24-year-old female, of Allentown, allegedly was driving under the influence when she left a restaurant in the 600 block of North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:44 p.m. Feb. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Hit and run accident
A pedestrian was walking eastbound along Standard Lane, Lower Milford Township, 7:31 a.m. Feb. 27 when she felt a pain in her arm around the same time a red van passed her, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The pedestrian believed a mirror of the vehicle clipped her left arm. She was not injured. The vehicle left the area.
Retail theft
A 44-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody for retail theft after he allegedly removed four items with a total value of $43.72 from retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:08 p.m. March 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Harassment
A 66-year-old male, of Allentown, was arrested for alleged harassment after an altercation in the 7000 block of Alburtis Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:25 p.m. March 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Identity theft
A resident of Fairway Lane, Lower Macungie Township, learned an unemployment claim was opened using her personal information, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 18.
Fleeing police
A 17-year-old male, of Breinigsville, allegedly fled in his vehicle after a traffic stop in the area of Tenth Street, Emmaus borough, 3:43 a.m. Feb. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The operator of the vehicle was later identified, according to authorities.
