Parkland Community Library offering variety of programs
Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is offering Teen’s Dungeon and Dragon Night for kids in grades seven through 12 from 6-8 p.m. April 1.

The Uplit Book Club will meet 10-11 a.m. April 2 to discuss the novel, “The Story of Arthur Truluv,” by Elizabeth Berg.

Bring a favorite book and practice reading to the patient and gentle Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs 6:30-7:30 p.m. on April 2.

Senior Coffee Club will meet 10-11 a.m. April 4. Coffee and light snacks will be provided.

Yoga Ukulele Story Time, with yoga instructor Larissa Noto, for kids ages 3-8 will take place 4:30-5:15 p.m.
Larissa will incorporate kid-friendly yoga moves as the story is read aloud.
Ms. Audrey will sing and play children’s songs on her ukulele while the children move with shakers, scarves and more.

The library’s Mad Libs Madness for youngsters ages 5-7 will take place 6:30-7:30 p.m. on April 4.
In this new club, kids will learn how to create hilarious and imaginative stories by filling in the blanks.

1-2-3 Play with Me, with music and movement, by Larissa Noto, will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 5.
This program is for children ages 1-3 and their caregivers.

Adults, join the library staff and try your luck at bingo 1-2 p.m. April 5.
Bring a small prize to add excitement to each round played. All games are free to play.

Teen Yoga Flow with instructor Nia will take place 11 a.m. to noon April 6.
This class is perfect for ages 12-19 and all skill levels.

Baby story time for little ones birth to 15 months with an adult caregiver will be presented 10-10:30 a.m. and 10:45-11:15 a.m. April 8.
The library staff will share simple books, lap bounces, rhymes, and songs, all designed to help babies build important social, motor, and early literacy skills.

In honor of the solar eclipse, the library will be presenting a Teen Solar Eclipse Oven program 4:30-5:30 p.m. on April 8.
Make delicious recipes in handcrafted solar ovens to celebrate this astronomical event.

Senior Book Club will meet to discuss the novel, “Crying in H Mart,” by Michelle Zauner from 3-4 p.m. April 9 at Luther Crest, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall.
Residents and nonresidents are welcome to attend.

The Art of Mindful Breathing will take place from 6-6:45 p.m. April 9.
Join instructor Larissa Noto as she guides participants through breathing exercises.
Participants will leave this class with an accompanying handout with each of the breathing techniques and will be able to weave the art of mindful breathing into their everyday life.

The library is offering a Teen FAFSA information session 7-8 p.m. on April 9.
A Lehigh Carbon Community College financial aid specialist will show teens and their parents how to use the new FAFSA and provide other financial aid tips for college-bound students.
