Coplay: Garden group to meet March 28

Coplay Garden Club members are set to meet 7 p.m. March 28 in the social hall at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St.

The group meets the last Thursday of each month.

Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association is planning to hold its annual Easter egg hunt 1 p.m. March 30 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St.

Prizes will be awarded, and all kids will receive a gift. This is a rain-or-shine event. Rumor has it the Easter Bunny might show up.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is planning a congregational Easter breakfast 8-10 a.m. March 31 in the church social hall.

Cost is by donation. All are welcome.

Coplay Borough is accepting applications for a pool manager, lifeguards and gate guards. The borough is also seeking a person to clean Coplay Social Hall, 165 Cherry St.

Explorer Post 101’s mission is to promote interest in the hobby of model railroading to 12- to 21-year-olds.

Meetings are 7-9 p.m. every Thursday on the second floor of the municipal building, 98 S. Fourth St.

Coplay Senior Citizens group members meet 1 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays at Coplay Social Hall. Doors open noon.

Membership is open to all Lehigh Valley seniors.

Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.

If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.

The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.
