Betty V. Vasilik
Betty Virginia Vasilik, 60, died March 22, 2024.
She was born Aug. 14, 1964, in Allentown.
Raised in Allentown, she was a fierce woman who emulated kindness above all.
She was a caring friend, loving wife and a protective eldest daughter of the biggest, good-hearted family one could ever meet.
A 1982 graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School, she was smart, social and sweet.
She brought a camera everywhere, taking as many photos as humanly possible of her life experiences, including band trips, family vacations and many milestone moments.
Those who knew her, know how much she cared for humans and animals, alike.
Above all, she was the most devoted, adoring, and forgiving mother in the world.
Every person she worked with, every friend she made, and every stranger’s acquaintance would say the same thing: she was an angel on Earth.
Anyone could go to her about anything, and she would lend a listening ear, a hug of solace, a smile to make you feel love, or maybe just a quick lesson on how to create a project in Photoshop.
She fell in love with graphic design after high school, and later won an Addy for her incredible creativity.
Fashion was always something she was naturally good at.
She knew all the best music and wasn’t afraid to dance freely, both in public and in the kitchen.
She fought a long and hard 14-year battle with cancer.
She never showed weakness, never gave up, and always stayed brave.
It’s impossible to forget her, and her love shines on for an eternity.
Her survivors include husband Jay Vasilik and daughter Taylor Vasilik both of Salisbury Township; parents William and Estella (Troxell) Faust Jr. of Emmaus; mother-in-law Phyllis Vasilik of Allentown; sister-in-law Patricia Maggitti and husband, Alex, of Coopersburg; sisters Stacey and husband, Michael Goebert Sr. of Allentown, and Antoinette Kuhns of Johnstown; brothers Todd Faust and wife Tammy, and Chad Faust, all of Emmaus; nephews Michael Goebert Jr. of Allentown, and Tyler Faust of Emmaus; nieces Madison Goebert of Allentown, Chelsea and husband, Justin Chotkowski, of Boston, Trisha Faust of Emmaus, and Elizabeth Gorin of Florida.
