March 21
The Emmaus Historical Society’s March program will be held 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus. Note that it is a Thursday due to Lent. The program is titled “Dig This: the Archaeological Dig at the 1803 House Explained ...” and will be presented by Professor David Small, Jill Cramer, Pat Merkowsky and Marian Schneck. Begun by a teacher at Seven Generations Charter School in 2012, the dig project at the 1803 House was adopted by Lehigh Professor of Archaeology Small and his students from 2014-2019. The program is free to the public. Refreshments will be served after the program.
March 23
Macungie Memorial Park, 50 Poplar St., will be the location of the Jump into Spring Vendor and Craft Fair 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include food, beverages and games as well as vendors and crafters.
An Easter Egg Hunt will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kalmbach Memorial Park, 200 Cotton St., Macungie. For additional details, visit the website kalmbachpark.com and/or email kalmbachpark@gmail.com.
Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. #1 will hold an Easter Egg Hunt noon. The fun starts 11 a.m. with a chance to meet the Easter Bunny along with his friends Minnie and Mickey Mouse 11 a.m. to noon. Enjoy a day filled with food, raffles and fire truck tours.
March 26
Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society hosts its quarterly meeting 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. The meeting will feature the free program “An Evening with Steve Brosky.” There will be light refreshments.
March 30
The Kiwanis Club of Emmaus will host its 72nd annual Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. in Emmaus Community Park, 1330 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Children ages 1-10 may attend for free and could meet the Easter bunny. Each age group will have the opportunity to find special prize eggs as well. This event will occur rain or shine.
April 7
Cash bingo at Macungie Memorial Park, lower level, Route 100 and North Poplar Street, Macungie. Doors open noon and games begin 1 p.m. Bingo benefits Friends of the Macungie Institute. For more information, call 610-966-7830.

Food Trucks in the Park! is scheduled 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 N. Poplar St., Macungie. Also April 24.
April 13
Second Harvest Food Bank will host its Empty Bowls fundraiser 6-10 p.m. at the organization’s warehouse, 6969 Silvercrest Road, Nazareth. There is a cost for tickets. The evening will include music performances and an auction. The menu will feature produce grown at The Seed Farm located in Upper Milford Township. April 18
Lehigh Valley Health Network will offer the free virtual session “Empowered Relief Training for Patients” for those with chronic pain 6-8 p.m. Participants will develop a personal plan for pain relief. The course is open to those 18 years and older. Attendees will be emailed a link to the virtual class including instructions on logging into the class one week before the session. Participants will need a computer or smart device and speakers to listen to the session. Registration is available online. Visit the LVHN website for additional details.

The Friends of the Emmaus Public Library will host the 24th annual Spring Used Book Sale at the library, 11 E. Main St., Emmaus. A ‘Friends-Only’ preview night is scheduled 6-8 p.m. April 19. ‘Friends’ memberships will be available at the door for a fee. The public sale is scheduled 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 20 with the popular ‘Brown Bag Blowout’ 2-3 p.m. Shoppers fill a brown paper or other recyclable grocery bag with as many books at they can for a small fee. Cash and checks will be accepted for purchases. In addition to books, items for sale will include children’s books, puzzles, DVDs and CDs. Proceeds benefit the Emmaus Public Library. The Friends of the Lower Macungie Library will host the Spring 2024 Book Sale at the library, 3450 Brookside Road, Macungie. A ‘Friends-Only’ preview night will be held 5-7:30 p.m. May 2. Memberships will be available at the door for a fee. The public sale will be held 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3 and May 4. The bargain bag sale starts 2:30 p.m. May 4. The Seed Farm will host its annual spring plant sale at the farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 12. The sale features a wide variety of plants, including vegetable, herb and flower plants grown at the farm without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
June 8
