The Moore Township Lioness and Lions Club is planning a spring penny party at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company’s social hall, 2718 Mountain View Drive. The party will begin 11:30 a.m. March 24. The event is billed as “pennies, food, fun.”
Play begins 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. All ages can attend and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with games of chance, good food and fellowship.
Homemade food includes baked goods, and drinks can be purchased starting 11:30 a.m.
Attendees can bring their own pennies or purchase them along with game tickets. Game tickets include a ticket to enter the door prizes and a $5 ticket for the next penny party held in the fall.
Raffle tickets for a huge Easter basket, and tickets for tricky tray items are available at the event.
A tricky tray, also known as a basket raffle or penny sale, is a fundraising game used to draw those who enjoy the art of competition and games of chance. Essentially, a tricky tray is a combination of a silent auction and a raffle.
Most importantly, it is good fun.
