‘Music Man’ sells itself at Liberty

The Liberty HS Theatre Company presents the Meredith Willson musical, “The Music Man,” March 22 and 23 at 7 p.m., and March 23 at 1 and 7 p.m. in the school auditorium theater. “The Music Man” is based on a story by Willson and Franklin Lacey. Con man Professor Harold Hill poses as a band director who sells instruments and then normally skips town with the proceeds, but other forces come to play in River City, Iowa.

Julie Wydrzynski directs and is vocal director. She is assisted by Laura Mainiero (assistant director), Allen Frank (pit director), Jennifer Dorn (choreographer), Ross Makary (technical director and set design). Wes Harris and William Lennox (sound engineers), Zack Spadaccia (lighting design). and Laura Papera and Betsy Mowrer (costumes).
