Stanley W. Schaffer Jr., 84, of Upper Milford Township, died March 9, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Shaffer) Schaffer. They were married for 62 years last August. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stanley W. Sr. and Arlene H. (Bramich) Schaffer.

He graduated from Allentown High School and Kutztown University.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service and also in the U.S. Marines.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Stanley W. III, of Emmaus, Christopher K., of Macungie; daughter, Colleen A. and her husband, Cristian Diaz, of Allentown; brothers, Lamont C., of Walnutport, Mark F.J., of Tampa, Fla., Glenn A., of Montana; sister, Gail, of Richmond, Va.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Lewis M.; a sister, Linda Minnich.

Contributions may be made to the Emmaus Veterans Committee or to the Macungie VFW.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. March 13 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A calling hour will be held 1 to 2 p.m. before memorial service.
