Elsie M. Smith, 100, of Trexlertown, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family March 7, 2024. She was the wife of the late George A. Smith, who died in 1993. Born in Finland, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lillie Mae (Miller) King.

She was a sewer at the Collegeville Flag Co. for 15 years and then the proprietor of Ocean Glen Rooms & Apartments in Wildwood, N.J. for 30 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Jet Bortz, with whom she resided; son, Thomas G., of Whitehall; brother, Charles King; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Bringenberg.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Emmaus.
