Allen Township Board of Supervisors gathered Jan. 2 to hold a reorganizational meeting.

Dale Hassler was appointed to his position as board chairman, a position he has previously held. Paul Link was unanimously appointed to the vice chairman position. The position was previously held by Gary Behler.

Jason Frack was appointed to the vacant board seat. Frack served on the board for two years but was narrowly defeated by Behler in the 2023 election.

Ilene Eckhart and Amber Averbeck were reappointed as township manager and assistant manager, respectively.

Yohanna Vega will serve as township treasurer.

In other business, supervisors approved a resolution setting the real estate tax at 5 mills, unchanged from last year.

The board also approved the fee schedules for engineering - Barry Isett and Associates - and solicitor - Lincoln Treadwell.

The board ratified 2024 meeting dates on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month for the board of supervisors and the third Monday of each month for the planning commission. All meetings will be held 6 p.m.

The zoning hearing board will meet as needed.

The next board of supervisors meeting will be held 6 p.m. March 26 at the municipal building, 4714 Indian Trail Road.
