Director Shannon Barry O’Grady is set and costume designer, assisted by Music Director Chad Miller, Technical Director Chris West and Lighting Designer Henry Ingles. Choreography is by O’Grady and Olivia Cudd.
Based on the 1996 film of the same title by Lee David Zlotoff, the production ran off-Broadway in 2001.
Musical numbers include “A Ring Around the Moon,” “The Colors of Paradise,” “Shoot the Moon” and “Forest for the Trees.”
“I brought in speakers from Battle Borne to talk to the kids to really bring home the Vietnam veteran aspect of the show,” says O’Grady.
She recommends that because of the mature subject matter, audience members should be age 10 or older.
