Rescue crews from Schuylkill and Berks counties worked throughout the afternoon and early evening of March 3 to find a hiker who slid 300 to 400 feet down a rock wall at Hawk Mountain around 3 p.m. Rescuers found the hiker at 6:30 p.m. and used an all-terrain vehicle to bring the hiker out.
