Television news viewers may have noticed Upper Milford Township mentioned in coverage of last week’s thunderstorms and high winds in the Lehigh Valley.
Strong winds toppled trees, leading to power outages throughout the area. South Fifth Street Hill, part of South Mountain, was particularly hard hit, with road closure for a time. A smashed guide rail, fallen limbs and branches and large expertly cut trunks remain visible along the route.
Let’s hope calmer skies are ahead in March.
