Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will hold a free food distribution 2-4 p.m. every Wednesday in March. Recipients must reside in the East Penn School District. Signs will be posted to direct you where to park and which door to use to pick up your food. Also March 13, 20 and 27.

Job seekers in the Tamaqua and Allentown areas are invited to Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Spring 2024 Job Fairs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The job fairs will be held at LCCC Allentown at the Donley Center, 718 Hamilton St. and LCCC Tamaqua at the Morgan Center, 234 High St. Both fairs are free and open to the public and will provide students, alumni and surrounding community members with opportunities to network and apply for various open positions with registered employers. The Seed Farm, Upper Milford Township, will host a seed starting workshop 1-4 p.m. at the farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road. The menu will consist of sausage and mashed potatoes, peas, roll and butter and brownies for dessert. Just pull up to door behind the church and your packed meals will be delivered to you.

Emmaus Public Library will host its fourth annual Tee Time at the Library fundraiser 6 to 9 p.m. March 8 for those 21 and older and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 9 for families. The 17th annual SnowBlast Winter Arts Festival will be held throughout Emmaus borough noon to 4 p.m. The event will feature local artists, arts related vendors, live music, community art projects, ice sculpting, local food trucks and a variety of family-friendly events throughout downtown.
YWCA Bethlehem will present its annual pop-up prom shop 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Venture X, 306 S. New St., Suite 110, Bethlehem. New and gently used prom dresses will be available for purchase. Accessories including shoes, jewelry, evening purses and shawls will be offered as well. High school students and their families from throughout the Lehigh Valley are welcome. Proceeds benefit Y programs for teens, young women and seniors.
The Emmaus Lions Club presents “A Nite At The Races.” Test your luck as you try to predict the winner of actual past horse races. Tickets include a hot and cold buffet, chips, pretzels, snacks, coffee, soda, beer, wine and bottled water at the Alburtis Community Center, 220 W. Second St., Alburtis. Emmaus Main Street Partners and the Emmaus Historical Society host the annual Lucky Bucks Bingo fundraiser 2-5 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. The Friends of the Southern Lehigh Library will host the program “They, Too, Wrote the Songs: The Ladies of Tin Pan Alley” 7 p.m. Tom Repasch will offer his insights into the American songbook with an emphasis on women composers and lyricists for Women’s History Month. Allentown’s 65th St. Patrick’s Day parade will be held 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. According to organizers, the parade will feature eight divisions and 10 pipe bands. Numerous school and community groups, clubs and other organizations are expected to participate as marchers and more. The parade will form at the Allentown Fairground track near the Liberty and 19th streets gate.

The Seed Farm will offer a two-day workshop on operation and maintenance of four-wheel tractors 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Participants will cover basic operation and maintenance on the first day and hands-on operation and safety on the second day. Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society hosts its quarterly meeting 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. The meeting will feature the free program “An Evening with Steve Brosky.” There will be light refreshments.

The Emmaus Historical Society’s March program will be held 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus. Note that it is a Thursday due to Lent. The program is titled: “Dig This: the Archaeological Dig at the 1803 House Explained...” and will be presented by Professor David Small, Jill Cramer, Pat Merkowsky and Marian Schneck. Begun by a teacher at Seven Generations Charter School in 2012, the dig project at the 1803 House was adopted by Lehigh Professor of Archaeology, David Small, and his students from 2014-2019. The program is free to the public. Refreshments will be served after the program.

The Kiwanis Club of Emmaus will host its 72nd annual Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. in Emmaus Community Park, 1330 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Children ages 1-10 may attend for free and could meet the Easter bunny! Each age group will have the opportunity to find special prize eggs as well. This event will occur rain or shine.

Lehigh Valley Health Network will offer the free virtual session “Empowered Relief Training for Patients” for those with chronic pain 6 to 8 p.m. Participants will develop a personal plan for pain relief. The course is open to those 18 years old and older. Attendees will be emailed a link to the virtual class including instructions on logging into the class one week before the session. The Friends of the Emmaus Public Library will host the 24th annual Spring Used Book Sale at the library, 11 E. Main St., Emmaus. A ‘Friends-Only’ preview night is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m. April 19. ‘Friends’ memberships will be available at the door for a fee. The public sale is scheduled 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 20 with the popular ‘Brown Bag Blowout’ 2 to 3 p.m. Shoppers fill a brown paper or other recyclable grocery bag with as many books at they can for a small fee. Cash and checks will be accepted for purchases. Items for sale will include children’s books, puzzles, DVDs, CDs and, of course, books. Proceeds benefit the Emmaus Public Library. The Seed Farm will host its annual spring plant sale at the farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus. Also May 12. The sale features a wide variety of plants, including vegetable, herb and flower plants grown at the farm. All plants are grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
