Reminder: Sheckler Elementary School’s literacy night is set for March 7. Doors open for Roughie Readers Rock 5:45 p.m., and the fun will begin 6-8 p.m.

The book fair will be running, along with chances to play bingo, win basket prizes and enjoy sweet treats from the fourth-grade Baking Club!

Catasauqua Area School District will be closed March 8 for teacher in-service.

CASD Board of Education will meet 7 p.m. March 12 in the board room at the district office, 201 N. 14th St.

Sheckler’s Home and School Association is hosting a fundraiser with Garden City Greenhouse and will be offering gift cards that can be used year-round to purchase spring flowers, vegetable plants, mums, poinsettias and much more.

Orders and payments are due March 13. Checks should be made payable to Sheckler Home and School Association. Gift cards will be sent home with students March 20.
