New ticketing platform for events
Do you have a fundraiser or an event that relies on ticket sales, but your members or customers are widespread and logistics are a nightmare?
The Times News Media Group, the Bethlehem Press’s parent organization, is offering a free platform for businesses and organizations to sell tickets without the hassle of connecting in-person across the region.
Times News Lehigh Valley Press Tickets offers local event ticketing powered by local media, according to Jennifer Benninger, the advertising director at Times News Media Group.
Benninger said event or fundraiser organizers can receive a free account with Times News Media Group, which gives them access to set up their event page where people can buy tickets.
She said that when someone buys a ticket online, they’ll receive a receipt email with a link to view or print their tickets that includes a unique QR code.
Some examples of uses are live music and comedy, conferences, festivals and fairs, food and drink events, event venues, fundraisers, classes and workshops, tours, and races and walks.
Benninger said organizers are able to track ticket sales, receive notifications and more through their dashboard.
What’s more, she said at the actual event they can use the free ticketing app to scan tickets that have already been purchased, or sell tickets at the door by accepting cash or credit cards through the app.
“After the event you will receive a direct deposit within seven days,” Benninger said. “You can access your ticket buyer list for future marketing purposes.”
Benninger explained, “This approach to selling tickets allows event or fundraiser organizers to have all of their information in one place.
“They can share the event ticketing link anywhere, which gives them much more reach and ability to sell more tickets than traditional in-person ticket sales,” she said. “No more having to go in person somewhere to buy a ticket, track down someone who has a physical ticket, or worrying about how to get money to someone for tickets.”
Benninger noted that the ticketing platform is free, and that no obligation online demonstrations are available now.
“As an added bonus, they also receive free social media, newsletter and community calendar marketing for their event sent out to our audience to attract even more local ticket buyers,” she said. “We also have additional paid marketing options for those who wish to do more.”
Benninger said this platform can handle multiple seating and ticket types, such as reserved seating and general admission, early bird and student tickets, and is very easy to use and customizable.
“An option to accept donations at checkout is also available, and a big bonus for organizations who rely on them,” she said. “You also have access to full tech support if needed.”
Benninger said organizers may contact the Times News advertising department by calling 610-377-2051 option #1 or by emailing jbenninger@tnonline.com.
