Junior Morgan Sterner (Northampton) poured in a career-high 18 points and senior Mikaela Reese blocked five shots to break the all-time record leading the #20 DeSales University women’s basketball team past Delaware Valley University, 70-48, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.
DSU trailed by one (21-20) when Sterner caught fire hitting a three-pointer giving DSU a two-point lead.
She scored seven-straight points later in the quarter giving the Bulldogs a 32-22 lead before taking an eight-point lead (32-24) into the halftime locker room.
The Aggies cut the margin in half to start the third quarter but DSU scored seven straight including a 3 from Sterner.
Sterner was outstanding off the bench hitting 4-for-4 from outside the arc and totaling a game and career-high 18 points, missing just one shot.
