Karl A. Schaffer, 57, of Allentown, died on Feb. 20, 2024, in his home.
Born on Aug. 4, 1966, in Allentown, he was the son of Shirley A. (Beil) Schaffer of Coplay and the late Paul E. Schaffer.
A 1984 graduate of Parkland High School, he was a material technician at Mack Trucks Inc., Macungie, for many years.
Before that, he worked at the former Krause Dodge, Schnecksville, and Ruhe Oldsmobile, Allentown.
He was a member of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Northampton.
His hobbies included camping at Mountain Springs Campground, Shartlesville, collecting antique cars, and horses.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister Ann L. Steigerwalt (Ted) of Slatington; brother Keith A. Schaffer of Lehighton; children whom he helped raise Alex, Cady and Carter; nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Max.
He was predeceased by a brother, Kevin A. Schaffer.
