Marie E. Kozero, 82, of Northampton, died Feb. 21, 2024, at home. She was the wife of the late John A. Kozero Jr.
Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Jennie (Cutrone) and Herbert C. Huber. She was raised in Jim Thorpe.
She first worked for Zollinger and Harned Company and Hess’s Department Store. She then worked as a seamstress for Tama Manufacturing. Later, she worked at A&D Fashions, Bath, and worked as a bus driver for 14 years for Northampton Area School District.
She was a member of the former St. Michael’s Church until it merged with Queenship of Mary Church. She loved volunteering for the church, especially making pierogies.
She served as president of the Ladies Rosary Sodality at St. Michael’s Church, Northampton, and served as regent of the fourth degree Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus, Allentown.
She is survived by four children, Donna and husband John D. McCorkle Jr., Mark and wife Liza, Thomas and Cynthia and husband Michael Holihan; nine grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Amanda, Daniel, Mike Jr., Megan, Aiden, John Wayne and Lauren Ashley; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
