Katherine J. (Behrens) Cole, 98, of Whitehall, died peacefully Feb. 17, 2024. She was the wife of the late Richard Cole for 61 years. Born in St. Ignatius, Mont., she was the daughter of the late Otto and Mary Behrens.

She received a teaching degree from West Chester State College and a master’s degree from Lehigh University.

Her career included teaching as well as running the family household. She was an accomplished artist.

She had many interests including travel, music, volunteerism and held a deep appreciation for nature. She lived a full life and will be greatly missed.

She and her late husband were active members of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by daughters, Pam (Don) Kienz, of Exton, Barbara (Ron) Schroeder, of Centennial, Colo.; son, Robert (Nancy), of Lakewood, Colo.; grandchildren, Eric, Steven, Ryan, Ben, Haley, Ciara, Emily; five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty.

Memorial services will be private. Arrangements were made by the Boyko Funeral Home, Allentown.
