At their Jan. 2 reorganizational meeting, Northampton County council approved 5-3 to appoint Lori-Vargo Heffner as president.

Ronald Heckman was appointed, 5-3, to serve as her vice president.

The board welcomed three new members: Ken Kraft, Kelly Keegan, and Jeffrey Warren; their terms will expire on Dec. 31, 2027.

A fourth member will be appointed at council’s next meeting to fill the seat vacated by Tara Zrinski, who is currently serving as county controller. The term expires Dec. 31, 2025.

Finally, council appointed Chris Spadoni as solicitor.

County council meets next on Feb. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the county building, 669 Washington Street, Easton.
