Getting your hoagies and coffee at Wawa on 3608 Nazareth Pike will soon become a reality.
Bethlehem Township Commissioners approved the final plan for the proposed Wawa on Nazareth Pike during their Feb. 19 meeting.
This project has been in discussion for a couple of years, primarily due to adjustments pertaining to zoning regulations.
Two waivers related to the housing development known as Fields of Famersville, located at 3701 Farmersville Road, were passed by the board.
The waivers were related to reducing the width of a few roads: Sherman Street from 36 to 32 feet, and both Miller Road and Local Court A will be reduced from 32 to 28 feet.
Commissioner John Gallagher voiced concerns about these waivers, stating the reducing the roads would lead to parking issues. He gave the example of hosting a Superbowl party and guests not being able to find suitable parking on the streets.
Kay Builders’ plan calls for 109 homes and townhomes on the site.
By a vote of 4-0-1. Chair John J. Merhottein to the Bethlehem Township Stormwater. Commissioner Michael D. Hudak abstained.
By a vote of 4-0-1, Eric Rich was appointed to the Bethlehem Township Environmental Advisory Council. Commissioner Michael D. Hudak abstained.
The board approved the settlement of Lowes Home Centers, Inc. v Revenue Appeals Board of Northampton County.
