AUTHOR AT NCC: As a part of Black History Month programming at the college, Northampton Community College (NCC) will be hosting Heather McGhee for an author talk and Q&A with community, students, and faculty and staff Thursday, Feb. 29, 7 - 8 p.m. This event is being co-sponsored by Lehigh University.
McGhee designs and promotes solutions to inequality in America. Her first book, The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together, spent 10 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list and was longlisted for the National Book Award and Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction, among numerous other awards.
The event is scheduled for NCC’s Bethlehem Campus, College Center, Room 220 | 3835 Green Pond Rd.
GLASS WORKS: The Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission presents an invitational exhibition: “Glass Works” that highlights the beauty and art of glass at the Bethlehem Town Hall Rotunda Gallery from Feb. 22 to April 2, 2024. The exhibition brings together 5 glass artisans who specialize in glass as a medium along with 3 artists who celebrate glass as an inspiration in painting, pastel, and photography. There will be an artist reception on Sunday, Feb. 25 from 2:00 to 4 p.m. The Rotunda Gallery is located at 10 E. Church Street. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exhibition is sponsored by the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission (www.bfac-lv.org).
