“The Addams Family,” with ironically macabre characters created by Charles Addams for his single-panel New Yorker magazine cartoons, lurches onto the stage, 7:30 p.m. March 1, 2; 2 p.m. March 3, Dyer Auditorium, Moravian Academy, 4313 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township.
Brooke Harrsch, in her role as Moravian Academy’s new director of theater arts, is assisted by choreographer Sabrina Joseph, music and technical director Rob Riker and scenic designer: Sam Roff.
With music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, the musical comedy debuted on Broadway in 2010. The original Broadway production received two Tony Award nominations.
Musical numbers include “When You’re an Addams,” “One Normal Night,” “Pulled,” “Full Disclosure,” “The Moon and Me” and “Crazier Than You.”
