Knights of Columbus Council 4050 is planning to hold a series of fish bakes, set for 5-7 p.m. March 1, 8 and 15 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church’s social hall, Chestnut and North Ruch streets.

There is a charge for the dinner, which includes dessert and beverages.

The Philadelphia Flower Show will take place March 2-10 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1011 Arch St., Philadelphia. This would be a great trip to take if you are in need of some lovely floral scents of spring!

The show always features gorgeous landscape displays and fantastic flower exhibits to give you ideas for your own backyard. The theme of the show is “United By Flowers” and is sure to bring some joy to the dreary days of winter.

2024 is a leap year, so remember there will be an extra day this month - Feb. 29!

According to almanac.com, the extra day every four years is necessary to “keep our calendar aligned correctly with the astronomical seasons.” Enjoy the gift of the extra day!

The Whitehall High School Class of 1972 is planning to present two $1,000 scholarships to two deserving Whitehall High School students. In order to help fund these scholarships, the class is holding a fundraiser 6-9 p.m. March 4 at Keystone Pub, 1410 Grape St.

To support the cause, register at myevent.com/WHSCLASS72. There is a $10 fee to register, but the Class of 1972 can refund your fee on the day of the event.
