The Emmaus Moravian Church, 146 Main St., Emmaus, hosted East Penn Neighbors Helping Neighbors’ third annual spaghetti dinner Feb. 10.
Proceeds from the event support the group’s community outreach project which is, as stated in the East Penn Neighbors Helping Neighbors mission statement, “[To serve] families with children who are home insecure through multifaceted short-term assistance and strategies in an effort to facilitate healthy independent living.”
Originally run by the Emmaus Ecumenical Ministerium, East Penn Neighbors Helping Neighbors has evolved into a nonreligious, nonprofit organization that, as the organization’s brochure explains, partners with, “[the] East Penn School District, Borough of Emmaus, businesses, churches, service organizations, residents and volunteers” to assist families in need of support.
More information on this organization is available by accessing East Penn Neighbors Helping Neighbors on Facebook or at www.EPNHN.org.
