Donald “Doug” Solomon, 73, of Northampton, died Feb. 17, 2024. He was the husband of Janet (Smicker) Solomon for 52 years.

He was a son of Michael and Ruth (Hoch) Solomon of Fullerton.

He graduated from Whitehall High School in 1968 and from Duquesne University in 1972.

He retired from Johnson & Johnson as a logistics manager and was well recognized in his field of work.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer and husband John; a son, Adam and wife Brandy; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Julia, Joshua, Lindsay, Luke, Jillian and Emma; three brothers, Charles and wife Louise, Michael and wife Mary and Robert and wife Sharon; a sister, Susan and husband Ted; and two brothers-in-law, Larry and wife Lorraine and Rick; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra.

There will be a viewing 6-8 p.m. Feb. 22 at the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall. His Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Feb. 23 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 210 E. Northampton St., Bath, 18014.
