Christ United Church of Christ, 109 S. Chestnut St., will be holding a variety bingo Feb. 24, featuring Scentsy, Vera Bradley, electronics and more, in the fellowship hall. The doors will open 11:30 a.m., and bingo begins 1 p.m.

Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road, will hold a meat and seafood block shoot and raffle noon-6 p.m. Feb. 25. There will be refreshments, and the kitchen will be open.

Chapman’s Quarries United Methodist Church, 1433 Main St., will hold its sixth annual soup tasting and sale, set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. March 2. The snow date is March 9.

There is a small admission fee, but children under age 10 attend for free.

Preorder by Feb. 25.

Soup is purchased by the pint, and you can choose from 15 options. Soup is served with homemade bread. There will be free coffee and tea and a homemade bake sale.
