The Emmaus High School rifle team won the last three matches of its regular season over the past two weeks, beating Southern Lehigh, Berwick and Stroudsburg.

The defending Northeast Pennsylvania Rifle League champion Hornets improved to 9-1 this season with the wins.

Emmaus beat Southern Lehigh by a score off 500 (43x)-497(10x). Zachary Brenner led Emmaus with a 100-10x score, while teammates Quinn Peck (100-9x), Madison Carreiro (100-8x), Jared Zetterberg (100-8x), Jayden Conway (100-8x) all contributed to the win.

The Hornets beat Berwick 500 (42x)-497 (39x), led by Brenner and Zetterberg, who both shot a perfect 100-10x score. Molly Yard, Shannon Yard and Sanaiya O’Neal all shot 100-8x for Emmaus.

The Hornets beat Stroudsburg 500 (42x)-497 (37x) with five Emmaus shooters all recording scores of 100-9x, including Brenner, Molly Yard, Carreiro, Conway and Zetterberg.
