Michael Thomas Boyko, 63, of Macungie, formerly of Whitehall, died Feb. 5, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Michael F. Boyko and the late Loretta A. (Richel) Boyko.
In his youth he was a member of the Allentown YMCA swim team.
He was a member of Boy Scouts of America, Troop #5, at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, Allentown, Order of the Arrow.
He graduated from Salisbury High School, Class of 1978. He participated in the soccer team as a halfback.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He studied physics and calculus at Moravian College. He later earned certification as a watercraft mechanic from the Watercraft Institute of America in Daytona, Fla.
He drove for Pitt Ohio, until he was employed at Mack Trucks Macungie plant where he retired as a final truck inspector.
He is survived by a daughter, Nicole and her husband, Shane Dugan, of Florida; son, Michael Carl, of Whitehall; granddaughters, Finnley and Kayle; brother, David J. and his wife, Rosiane, of Upper Milford Township; many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were made by the Boyko Funeral Home, Allentown.
