Egypt/Cementon: VFW Post 7293 plans Thursday, Friday musical entertainment

Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road, is hosting concerts.

The Thursday schedule features Mike Sherer Feb. 15, Gig Digger Open Jam Feb. 22 and Fine and Mellow Trio Feb. 29. Dinner will be held 6 p.m., with music starting 7 p.m.

The Friday schedule includes Chelsea Lyn Meyer Feb. 16 and Trick Stacy Feb. 23. Concerts begin 7 p.m.

Members attend for free, but there is a cost for guests and nonmembers.

Join your friends and family 6-8 p.m. Feb. 21 for country line dancing at Egypt Memorial Park, 4540 Hillcrest Lane. There is a cost.

Egypt Memorial Park’s spring softball and baseball registration is open for ages 5-14 through April 1. Go to egyptpark.org and set up a profile to view available programs and register. Players do not have to live in Whitehall.

There is a cost.

Open practices will be held March 28 and 31 for those who want to try the sport and meet the players and coaches. Waivers are required for nonmembers.

The youth group of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, will be raising funds for its summer mission trip.

The group are selling nut rolls from Feb. 18 to March 3. Available flavors include nut, lekvar, poppy seed, apricot and raspberry.

Nut rolls will be delivered March 17.
