Bruce L. Krasley

Bruce L. Krasley, 73, of Allentown, died Feb. 7, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife, Catharine L. (Pfromm) Krasley, shared nearly 54 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Ralph H. and Claire H. (Weisbach) Krasley.

A graduate of Parkland High School and the former Kutztown State College, now Kutztown University, he received his Master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University.

Before retiring in 2006, he was a school administrator.

He started his career as a teacher for the Jim Thorpe School District.

Later, he was a high school principal for the Palmerton School District, and finished his career as a principal at Catasauqua High School.

He coached high school football in Jim Thorpe and the Blue Mountain areas for many years, as well as being a referee.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Stephanie L, wife of Richard Kaleycik of South Whitehall, Elizabeth A. Krasley of Wilmington, Del., and Alice L. Krasley of Columbus, Ohio; brother Douglas J. and his wife, Jane, of South Whitehall; sister Sally, wife of Michael Dobil, of Schnecksville; grandchildren Steven and Hannah Kaleycik; and sister-in-law Gretchen Krasley.

He was predeceased by a brother Michael R.

His memorial service will be noon March 2 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown.

Calling period begins at 10 a.m.
