The East Penn Conference basketball tournament will be back at the PPL Center next week.
The boys and girls’ semifinals and finals will span over three nights with doubleheaders set for Feb. 12, 13 and 15.
The first night of action will pit the boys semifinals starting at 6 p.m. with the second matchup taking place after. The girls will follow the same setup the following night in the lead-up to next Thursday’s championship matchups.
Allentown Central Catholic is the defending champions in both boys and girls from last season. The first round of the conference tournament begins Feb. 9 at the site of the higher seed.
Liberty’s boys’ team lost in last year’s opening round of the conference, but will qualify again for this year’s tournament. Bethlehem Catholic and Liberty will qualify for the tournament on the girls’ side.
Tickets for the event are $8 and senior citizens are free with a valid ID. Children, ages 4 and under are free but need a complimentary ticket, following the purchase of a general admission ticket.
