A 38-year-old male, of Macungie, was charged with simple assault after he allegedly attacked another person at a location along Firebrick Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 11 p.m. and 11:35 p.m. Jan. 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Burglary
Someone used a pry tool to force open a locked window and remove computer related equipment at a residence along Country Club Road, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. According to investigators, a light color minivan parked across the street from the residence around 6:30 p.m. and left around 7:04 p.m. Neighbors who may have security camera footage of the incident are encouraged to contact state police at 610-395-1438.
Someone forced entry to a residence along East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 3:30 and 8:50 p.m. Jan. 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact state police at 610-395-1438.
Drugs
A 25-year-old male, of Reading, was arrested after a traffic stop along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 12:54 a.m. Dec. 29, 2023, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of THC wax, which was seized, according to authorities.
Retail theft
Someone concealed and removed two electronic devices, valued at $199.98, from Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft was reported Jan. 22.
A 24-year-old female, of Rahway, N.J., was arrested for allegedly removing miscellaneous items valued at $177.92 from retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:45 p.m. Jan. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Accident
An Allentown motorist escaped injury when her vehicle crashed into a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation sign and hit an embankment along the Pennsylvania Route 309 North ramp from Interstate 78 West, Lower Macungie Township, 2:25 p.m. Jan. 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was traveling in the left lane when she lost control on a right curve and went off the road. Yocum Towing and Recovery also responded.
DUI
A 66-year-old male, of Breinigsville, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a three vehicle crash in the area of Hamilton Boulevard and North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:18 p.m. Jan. 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Two of the vehicles were towed from the scene, according to authorities.
Theft
A resident of Sequoia Drive, Lower Macungie Township, received a call from a person who pretended to be an employee of PNC Bank and asked for a confidential code which the caller then allegedly used to access the resident’s account and remove $1,000, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 27.
