One afternoon recently Ben and I were driving to his tennis lesson. I was listening to the traffic report: “There is congestion on Route 22 East at Cedar Crest; we have congestion on I-78 at Route 33,” etc. At the same time, Ben, who has been dealing with a lot of sinus issues since the beginning of the year, grabbed a tissue and gave a great, big honk. I continued the traffic report with “And we have congestion in the Toyota Sienna on Route 22.” I’m not sure the teenager appreciated the attempt at humor.
