Leibenguths named to dean’s honor roll
The University of Mississippi announced students named to the fall 2023 dean’s honor roll. In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester, may not be on academic probation during the semester and have earned a semester GPA of 3.5-3.74.
Logan and Mantana Leibenguth, both of Coplay and majoring in accountancy, have achieved this honor.

Cedar Crest College
Cooper inducted into Delphi Society
Cedar Crest College is pleased to announce Sydnee Cooper, of Northampton, was inducted into the Delphi Society for the fall 2023 semester in recognition of outstanding academic achievements. Delphi recognizes exceptional students who have completed 86 or more total credits, including at least 60 graded credits of academic work at the college, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or above.

Mississippi State University
Christein earns president’s list, graduates
Collin Christein, of Northampton, is among more than 1,500 students graduating from Mississippi State University in fall 2023. Christein received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the college of arts and sciences.
Christein is also among 4,503 students named to Mississippi State University’s fall 2023 president’s list. Students on this list achieved a 3.8 or better GPA, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a “C.”

University of Rhode Island
Megan Wallitsch earns dean’s list
The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce Megan Wallitsch, of Whitehall, has been named to the fall 2023 dean’s list. Students named to this list represent nearly all of Rhode Island’s cities and towns, all six New England states, New York, New Jersey and many other states and countries.
To be included on the dean’s list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades, which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.3 quality-point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades, which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.3 QPA.

Montclair State University
Batista named to dean’s list
Montclair State University congratulates Katelyn Batista, of Whitehall, on being named to the fall 2023 dean’s list. Batista is a history major. Batista was among more than 6,000 Red Hawks named to this honor. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Peters earns dean’s list
Brandon Peters, of Walnutport, was named to Middle Tennessee State University’s dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Peters is majoring in integrated studies. To qualify for this distinction, an undergraduate student must maintain a current semester GPA of 3.5 or above and earn at least 12 semester hours.

Gier named to president’s list
Mackenzie Gier, of Whitehall, was named to College of Charleston’s fall 2023 president’s list (highly distinguished). Gier is majoring in elementary education.
To qualify for this honor, students must earn a GPA of 3.8 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Schmeckenbecher named to president’s list
Graydon Schmeckenbecher, of Whitehall, has been named to the president’s list at James Madison University for the fall 2023 semester. Students who earn president’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.9 or above. Schmeckenbecher is majoring in political science for a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Angelina Morrow, of Northampton, has been named to the dean’s list at James Madison University for the fall 2023 semester. Students who earn dean’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Morrow is majoring in health sciences for a Bachelor of Science degree.

Alderman named to dean’s list
Heather Alderman, of Whitehall, has been named to Central Penn College’s dean’s list for the fall 2023 term. Alderman is currently majoring in computer information systems. Of the students who took classes, 35% made the dean’s list. To qualify for this designation, an undergraduate student must carry six or more credits and earn a GPA of 3.5 or better for the term.
