Catasauqua: Legion schedules breakfast

Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., will hold its next breakfast, planned for 8 a.m.-noon Feb. 11. Come out for all your favorites, available to order right off the menu.

These breakfasts are now being held the second Sunday of the month and will no longer be an all-you-can-eat breakfast.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., is sponsoring a Hungarian goulash dinner Feb. 24 at the church. Seatings will be 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The menu includes Hungarian goulash over pasta or rice, salad, roll/butter and a dessert bar.

Tickets must be reserved by Feb. 18. For reservations, call Deb at 610-984-2105.

Cost is by donation. Proceeds will benefit the YMCA warming station, which provides shelter, food and a safe place for those experiencing homelessness in our community. It is open to welcome guests annually Nov. 1-April 30.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 435 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, will once again be offering low-impact aerobic classes for 10 weeks. The 45-minute classes will run 6:15-7 p.m. Tuesdays Feb. 27-April 30.

The church will also be offering a beginner, 30-minute, low-impact aerobic exercise class 5:30-6 p.m. Tuesdays Feb. 27-April 16. If you haven’t exercised in a while, but are ready to ease your way back in, this may be the class for you.

Instructor Karen Hoff will hold the classes in the parish hall. Classes will help get you moving and increase flexibility, moves and balance.

The registration deadline is Feb. 23 or until the maximum number of participants is reached. Contact Mary Spieker at the parish office at 610-266-0695 or dirreled@sercc.org to register. See the church website at sercc.org for further details.
