Sylvia J. Bicking, 87, formerly of Bethlehem, died Jan. 31, 2024. Born in Hazelton, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Zavodny) and Michael Wargo. She was the wife of the late Clement “Skip” F. Bicking Jr. for 59 years.

She was a licensed practical nurse for more than 19 years at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fountain Hill.

She was a member of the Autumn Club of Bethlehem Township. She was a community volunteer.

She is survived by four children, Keith and his wife Dawn of Bath, Gary and his wife Elaine, and Timothy, all of Colorado Springs, Co. and Tammy Hale and her husband Jeff of Lords Valley; a brother, Michael Wargo; four sisters, Elaine Groller, Flora McCormick, Elizabeth Wolfe and Lynn Janousek; five grandchildren, Chris, Casey, Bonnie, Emma and Hannah, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Michael Bicking; and a sister, Rebecca Pappas.
